Get the Most from Your Spiritual Bath

So in this short blog post, i'm going to share with you how to get the most out of your Lavenglow Spiritual Bath. Taking a spirtual bath is a beautiful ritual best done at anytime you need a emotional, spiritual or mental boost and/or cleanse! I got into spiritual baths before I even knew they could be or were a spiritual practice.

Several years ago, whenever I was feeling low or depleted from work, relationships, my personal life, you name it, I would just run the hottest water into the bath I could and start adding ingredients that felt right or resonated with what I needed. I did a little research on pintrest and google to see the best "detoxing" bath mixes and found things like Epsom Salt for sore muscles, Dead Sea Salt for adding nutrients and minerals back into to the body, Baking Soda for detoxing and different essential oils for calming or energizing. I didn't realize at the time but I was totally tapping into my intuition by feeling out what I needed and adding ingredients to my bath accordingly.

Taking baths became a Sunday Ritual I looked forward to. While my partner watched football, I whipped up a natural face mask (check out our video on Youtube linked below where I share how to mix up and apply the Glowing Goddess natural clay mask I still use today) and would jump in the tub sometimes for an hour or more and just enjoy!

As I learned more through self-study about spiritual cleansing and herbalism, my practice evolved and creating my bath soaks became a ritual in and of itself. Putting my intentions, love and care into creating my baths became its own healing practice.

So here's how to level up your own spiritual bath practice and get the very most out of it!:

Take a shower prior to your bath to clean off any physical dirt on your body. I like to use a loofah and gently cleanse and exfoliate all over while I visualize the day or the difficult emotion being rinsed down the drain. Then towel off.

In a clean tub ( i even like to rinse my tub with table salt to cleanse any residual energies from the tub), run your bath water at the desired temperature and add in a half cup to a cup of your Lavenglow Spiritual Bath Soak.

You may take time to speak your desired intentions over the water as it runs into the tub or just prior to getting into the bath.

These intentions or affirmations may look like “I am calm, healthy and healed”, “I have peace in my mind, in my home, in my relationships, and in my career”, “I am a divine goddess”, "I am safe, protected, loved, and nourished".

Soak in the bath for 15-20 minutes or however long you’d like. Use this time to luxuriate, think about your intentions, recite healing affirmations (if you ordered our Chakra Balancing bath, you'll receive an insert with some affirmations that correlate with your chakra bath), read, meditate, listen to music, just relax however feels right for you!

After your bath, I suggest air drying to receive the full cleansing energy of the Bath Soak. This isn't the most fun in the Winter time or cooler climates but it adds a big punch to the overall affect of the bath.

As skin is slightly damp, lovingly massage body with our Triple B Body oil or the Three B’s Butter to seal in the moisture and nutrients. Throw on something that makes your feel sexy or comfortable or both and enjoy your divine radiating energy!!!

Enjoy & stay well fam <3
